Fodor's Review

This native restaurant tucked in a Freeport strip mall attracts a steady local clientele for it's home-cooked Bahamian cuisine. Named after owner Mary Ann Ward, who runs the place with her husband, the little diner is known for its cracked or curried lobster, along with traditional favorites like chicken souse, tuna and grits, peas 'n' rice, johnnycake, and a slightly spicy baked mac 'n cheese. The dining room is warm and inviting and the walls are adorned with framed newspaper clippings and Bahamian art. The outside deck opens for happy hour.
