Fodor's Expert Review Mangrove Cay Inn
Mangrove Cay, Andros Island, Bahamas
In a coconut grove with wild orchid and hibiscus gardens, the inn caters to hard-core escapists and anglers alike. The basic rooms are decorated in peach and green with light Andros pine walls. Enjoy your favorite fresh seafood dish or a cold Kalik (local beer) while relaxing in the restaurant and bar. Rent a bicycle to explore the cay, roam miles of nearby beach, or hire a fishing guide. Two cottages are also available for rent and are slightly nicer—a one-bedroom and a three-bedroom, with full kitchens and satellite TV, overlooking a saltwater lake filled with baby tarpon and snappers. Rates include taxes and gratuity.
