Fodor's Expert Review California Lighthouse

Western Tip (California Dunes) Geological Site

Declared a national monument in 2015, the landmark lighthouse on the island’s eastern tip is being restored to its original glory. It was named after a merchant ship that sunk nearby called the Californian, a tragedy that spawned its construction. Built in 1910, the lighthouse has been a famous Aruba attraction for decades and a typical stop on most island tours.
