This enormous, multitier, mostly alfresco beach bar–cum–art gallery styles itself a restaurant-lounge. Although the ramrod chrome-finished chairs make for rigid seating, the loud music begs for earplugs, and the globe-trotting menu is too ambitious, this is nonetheless a hip, happening spot and prime Grade A meet market. The friendly staff is garbed in black pants and bubblegum-pink shirts (stenciled "love is in the air"), the cocktails are fairly inventive, and the rotating art on the walls, including an epoxy-painted surfboard dangling from the white-beamed ceiling, displays a savvy selection of the hottest up-and-coming local artists in various media.
