This grand old lodge has been given a thorough overhaul and overlooks the forest-covered hills and waterfront. Visiting boaters call in for drinks and meals, but otherwise you’ll be left in peace as a guest here. If relaxing on the veranda gets too tiresome, try an adventure on a paddleboard, kayak, or mountain bike, or try your luck with a fishing rod—all are complimentary for guests. Getting here is half the fun; take the long and winding two-hour drive from Havelock, or a take a water taxi or helicopter.
