Just a few minutes' drive from the center of town, two of these three lovely apartments overlook the sea off Port Motueka. They're a perfect spot to base yourself while exploring the region, especially if you're not necessarily concentrating on the Abel Tasman Park area. Only the Tranquillity apartment is suitable for families and has a private courtyard.
Book the appropriately named Seaview studio for the best view.
PROS
- kayaks, bikes, and a dinghy are available for use
- sunrise over the sea is memorable
CONS
- the seafront is tidal sandflats rather than ocean front
- the family unit has smaller rooms and no view
- only Seaview apartment has easy stairway access
