Fodor's Review

French chef Samuel Goslin understands the Kiwi taste is for less salt, and less fat, so his French-fusion menu caters to suit. You can depend on locally famed Ora King salmon and Coromandel scallops, and perhaps garlic butter snails, roast quail, or wild goat. You must spare room for dessert; the chef's specialty is playing with flavors from flowers, and creating his own, exquisitely decorated chocolate. Wife Severine guides front of house, a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience, inside or in the cottage garden. Dining is not rushed. Reservations recommended.
