Getting Here & Around

The city hugs Moselle Bay on the west of the peninsula, with its center as well as Place des Cocotiers (Coconut Place) a short walk from the cruise terminal and yacht marina. The Quartier Latin is about 1 km (½ mile) south of the city center, and the two most popular beaches (Citrons and Anse Vata) are another 3 to 4 km (2 to 2½ miles) farther south. The international airport is a 45-minute drive north of the city. Taxis from the airport are very expensive; it's advisable to take a shuttle bus into town. The No. 1 Green Line bus travels in a loop, connecting the city to the beaches.
