Train Travel

Frequent trains service routes between the capital and the Gold and Sunshine coasts. The Queensland Rail network links regional towns and tourist centers, and is a scenic way to travel (though on longer routes it's often cheaper to fly). The Sunlander and high-speed Tilt Train ply the coast between Brisbane and Rockhampton or Cairns, servicing towns that act as launching pads for island resorts.
