Fodor's Expert Review A Touch of Salt
This Modern Australian eatery ticks all the boxes: location (riverfront), service (impeccable), ambience (relaxed), food (exciting and flavorful), and wine (top-flight). Mains are divided into "sea," "earth," and "land." Dishes on the "sea" selection might include tempura soft shell crab, seared chipotle prawns, or spiced Spanish mackerel. "Land" dishes could be Schezuan-style duck, or a premium eye-fillet steak. On the constantly changing "earth" list of vegan options, you might find goats' cheese gnocchi, or mushroom and sweet-corn gyoza. Small but artfully presented desserts taste as good as they look. There's also an excellent, largely Australian wine list. Prebooking is strongly recommended, especially if you want to sit outside on the expansive waterfront deck.
