At this upmarket riverside eatery, you can sit indoors on smart black-and-white chairs under low-slung, jellyfish-shape lights, or outside on the breezy terrace with views, and choose from a Modern Australian menu that changes daily but always features 8–14 different species of fish—panfried or oven-roasted, steamed, seared, or with your choice of six available batters and a range of side dishes. Try the signature tempura soft-shell mud crab with green chili, shallots, and wasabi mayo; or the kingfish delicately flavored with watermelon and mint. The fresh, interesting menu also includes eye fillet steak, pork belly, and vegetarian options, as well as desserts such as Valrhona chocolate fondant and strawberry and basil seed compote. The attached bar pours a selection of boutique wines by the glass.
