Fodor's Expert Review Paragon Cafe
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
With its chandeliers, gleaming cappuccino machine, and bas-relief figures above the booths, this wood-paneled, art deco café opened in 1916 was a favorite Blue Mountains eatery in its heyday. There are much better places to eat nearby these days, but it's still worth dropping in for a coffee or one of 52 varieties of homemade chocolates, and to marvel at the opulence of the interior. A variety of events are staged on weekends throughout the year, including Regency dances, 1920s tango nights, and screenings of classic movies; most include dinner.
