Vietnam Central Circus was founded in the 1950s in the mountains, along with the Communist Party. Besides an evening of guaranteed entertainment—the elephants and monkeys are accompanied by the antics of 160 human performers—the circus arena itself is also a sight to see, with its distinctive 1,500-seat, round-top building. In winter, bring a jacket. The two-hour shows take place weekends and sometimes during the week.
