Fodor's Expert Review Dac Kim Bun Cha

$ The Old Quarter Vietnamese Fodor's Choice

Dining at this Old Quarter institution is an experience. The tiny first floor is used for food preparation, but staff members will lead you up the winding tiled stairs until enough empty plastic stools can be found for your party. You may be planted cozily among other customers, but ordering shouldn't be hard. The restaurant serves only two delicious dishes: bun cha (grilled pork patties with rice noodles) = and huge pork- and crab-filled spring rolls. Wash both down with bia lanh (cold beer) or tra da (iced Vietnamese tea).
