Fodor's Expert Review Calypso Premier Hotel
27A Cua Dong, Hanoi, Ha Noi, Vietnam
One of the Old Quarter's many boutique options, this small hotel offers a fair quotient of refinement for a relatively low price. Although only built in 2010, the hotel was renovated in 2013 and again in 2017, meaning that fittings are excellent and the hotel feels new. Rooms have a somewhat feminine touch with red-and-white color schemes featured throughout. A lot of effort has clearly gone into providing a welcoming experience for guests.
PROS
- prices are very reasonable
- close to Hanoi's famous train street
- some rooms have views of the leafy street
CONS
- no lunch or dinner on site
- the red color scheme can be overwhelming
