At the end of your long journey, stretch your legs in Can Tho with a walk along the river front, then watch the sun set from L'Escale, the rooftop restaurant at the Nam Bo Boutique Hotel.

Days 4–5

Spend Days 4 and 5 experiencing local Mekong Delta life with a homestay at Nguyen Shack Homestay or Green Village Homestay or an overnight river cruise with Bassac Cruises.

Day 6

Travel to fascinating Chau Doc, where the Cham people worship at the Murbarak Mosque, the local Buddhists pray at shrines on Sam Mountain, and river folk operate floating fish farms under their houses. Allocate several hours to exploring Sam Mountain, and finish your tour with a cocktail at Nui Sam Lodge, with its stunning views of the rice paddies and flood plains of the Mekong Delta.
