Planning Your Time

Most visitors come to Chiang Mai for only a few days—hardly time enough to take in all its attractions and enjoy all the city has to offer. At least a week's stay is recommended; Chiang Mai's temples alone demand a couple of days' attention, and the surrounding upland countryside is packed with attractions worthy of a day trip.
