The small rooms in this restaurant, once a private home, brim with bric-a-brac typical of the region. Select a table in any of the dining rooms or out in the plant-filled garden. The house and garden are open only in the evening; lunch is served in a street-front extension packed daily with hungry Thais. A specialty here at the Old City's best Lanna restaurant is gaeng hang lay with kao nio (sticky rice). The larb nua (spicy ground beef fried with herbs) and the deep-fried pork ribs are two more dishes not to be missed.
