Fodor's Expert Review Din Tai Fung
This Taiwanese chain is respected the world over for its juicy, impossibly delicate xiao long bao (dumpling-like steamed buns). Singapore branches have been opening like crazy in recent years: there are 14 at last count, and more are undoubtedly on the way. The mouthwatering buns are stuffed with fillings that include pork, chili crab, minced vegetables, and seafood. Other specialties include homemade noodles, flash-fried greens, and fried rice with egg or prawns. Everything on the menu is under S$15, and we've yet to try anything we wouldn't order again.
