Fodor's Expert Review Roti
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Billing itself a "modern American brasserie," Roti takes pride in the creative use of simple, fresh ingredients fused with Eastern and Western elements. For an appetizer, try the falafel and chargrilled vegetables on flat bread, or shoestring french fries with white truffle oil and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Don't neglect dessert: the espresso-chocolate tart is outrageously good. Other indulgences include some 60 California wines, microbrewed ales from the famed Rogue brewery in Oregon, and Cuban cigars. There is also a fantastic weekend brunch menu and a great-value kids set menu (¥900). The best seats in the house are, in fact, outside, at one of the dozen tables around the big glass pyramid on the terrace.
