Accommodations are a little threadbare but comfortable and right on the lakefront, and the terrace lounge affords fine views of the lake and of Mt. Fuji beyond. The staff speak English and are helpful in planning excursions. The Japanese-style rooms with Mt. Fuji views are well worth spending a bit more for. Rates are significantly higher on weekends and in August.
