Shuzenji

Shuzenji—a hot-springs resort in the center of the peninsula, along the valley of the Katsura-gawa (Katsura River)—enjoys a certain historical notoriety as the place where the second Kamakura shogun, Minamoto no Yoriie, was assassinated in the early 13th century. Don't judge the town by the area around the station; most of the hotels and hot springs are 2 km (1 mile) to the west.
