Fodor's Expert Review Out of the Blue
This quirky vegetarian restaurant near the Brahma Temple has devis painted on its walls, chilled trance music in the background, and a lengthy menu. A favorite with backpackers, it's in an old building whitewashed blue, and serves everything from pizzas, thalis, extensive breakfasts (fit for a king), 20 types of grilled sandwiches, crepes (vegetable, sweet or salty), 12 types of soup, many flavors of lassi (chocolate, rose, mixed fruit), pasta, Mexican food, and Israeli food. Highlights are ravioli in sage sauce, apple pie, and the falafal. They bake their own pita and their own bread. You can eat downstairs in air-conditioned comfort or head to the rooftop and have a meal with a view. Service is attentive and reasonably quick.
