Fodor's Review

This Jaipur institution might be the most popular restaurant among the upper middle class and one of the city's oldest restaurants. Amid mirrors (on the ceiling, too), dimmed lights, and marble floors, it serves decent Indian and Chinese food, as well as Continental dishes. Specialties include reshmi kebab (skewered boned chicken), paneer tikka (soft Indian cheese with skewered tomatoes, onions, and green peppers), and chicken and mutton tikka masala (simmered in a spicy tomato-and-butter sauce). The range of Chinese food, cooked Indian style, is extensive. Service is relatively prompt; it's a busy restuarant. They serve beer and wine, or try a cold coffee topped with ice cream. During peak tourist season reservations are advisable. There are seats outside if you have to wait for a table.
