Fodor's Expert Review The Pratap Palace

Village Hokra, Pushkar Byepass, 10.8 km [6.7 miles] from town, Pushkar, Rajasthan, 302055, India

This eye-catching edifice in a delicate pink stone on a low hill is one of the first landmarks visible as you enter the outskirts of Pushkar town coming from Jaipur, while inside, vast expanses of marble and white gives a sensation of immense space and grandeur. In spite of its pedestrian-sounding name—Rajasthan must have more than 100 Pratap Palaces—this brand-new property is rather attractive and one of the city’s best. Accommodations are in large, stylish, smart rooms with a swing (!), and each room has a balcony.
