Fodor's Expert Review Ananta Spa and Resorts
Leela Sevri, Ajmer Pushkar Rd., Pushkar, Rajasthan, India
Spread across 9 acres, this is Pushkar’s loveliest, and most expensive, hotel. Many of the cottages, with their beehive-shaped tiled roofs and cobblestone walls, have private side patios and open-air showers set in greenery. Rooms, furnished with delicately etched tree murals and rich silks have an understated elegance. There are better priced rooms in the main hotel building but lack locational charm. The property has an outdoorsy lodge feel and there are golf carts to get around.
PROS
- peaceful
- not that far from the city but away from its bustle
- meandering pool
- spa
CONS
- 4 km from the main town
- expensive—during the Pushkar Fair rates more than triple
