Fodor's Expert Review Veda
Designed by the "bad boy" of Indian design, Rohit Bal, the flamboyant interiors of this Park Street restaurant set the stage for the classic and trendy Indian dishes served here. The menu is clearly inspired by dishes served at starred Indian restaurants in New York or London, with an occasional nod to local flavors and ingredients. While the food and service have received a mixed response, the lounge, on the lower floor, has been grabbing lots of attention for its high-profile celebrity parties and live music performances. Try their sigature dishes, dal Veda (long-simmered black lentils with cream and tomatoes) and Death by Rabri, a sweet, rich dessert.
