Established in 1932, and now managed by the third generation of the Lobo family, this large, airy no-frills restaurant on hectic Calangute Beach catches the exuberant sea breeze. The seafood is excellent, which means the place is always busy. The Goan masala fried prawns are exactly as they should be—with authentic red masala and fresh, perfectly deveined prawns. Other Goan specialties include the squid amot tik (a sour curry), kingfish steak peri-peri (in spicy, tangy red sauce), and prawn-stuffed pomfret. The restaurant also serves Western-style seafood with a good garlic butter sauce. There's live music every night. (Be warned: the toilet here is shabby.)
