Fodor's Expert Review Elsewhere
North Goa, Goa, India
On a 500-yard-long spit of outstretched private land, surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea and Otter Creek, is Denzil Sequeira's lovely ancestral property, a reminder of a forgotten Goa. To preserve the idyllic spirit of this hidden gem, Sequeira is reluctant to reveal the physical address unless you are a registered guest. The four elegant beach houses and three creek-facing tents are separated from the mainland by the saltwater creek—access is via a private bamboo footbridge. Each tent sleeps two in a double four-poster bed and includes a bathroom with running water and hot showers—the sweet spot is a quiet sit-out (patio) overlooking the creek. Expect a beautiful, tranquil hideaway with attentive service. The price listed is for the whole property, at peak season. The property is closed during the monsoons.
