Well-presented, modern Khmer cuisine is lovingly prepared here by chef Lyly. Fronted by a garden, the restaurant, west of the Phsa Nat, its on the upscale side, but still has the feel of a local Cambodian restaurant, with warm and very attentive staff. Every dish is prepared to order, so be prepared for a wait while it cooks. The traditional amok (seafood curry) is one of the best in town, and the spring rolls are fresh and crispy. Coconut Restaurant also hosts super cooking classes ($10), either in the morning or afternoon—attendees get to go to the local market to source ingredients and then learn how to make four traditional Cambodian dishes.
