For insights into the crafts of Brunei (and to buy some examples to take home), visit this training and exhibition center where artisans learn traditional skills. Here delicate silk and gold threads are woven into jong sarat fabric used to make ceremonial sarongs (a garment made of one long piece of cloth that is worn wrapped around the body), while silver is fashioned into jewelry or a keris, an ornamental dagger. There's also a branch of the shop in Brunei International Airport's departure hall.
