Fodor's Expert Review The Motse

Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, Northern Cape, South Africa

Tswalu's main lodge is made up of freestanding thatch-and-stone suites clustered around a large main building with a heated natural-color pool and a floodlighted water hole. The decor—in keeping with the unusual and unique Tswalu experience—is minimalist and modern, echoing the landscape in colors and textures. But this makes it sound drab, and it's not. Indeed, it's beautiful.
