Fodor's Expert Review Bed Rock Accommodation

Beach Rd., Port Nolloth, Northern Cape, 8280, South Africa

The interiors of this guesthouse (made up of some of the very first houses in town) is delightful, decorated with an eclectic collection of Africana and antiques; each room has its own bathroom, although not always in the room. Some rooms look out onto the street and offer sheltered areas with a pool to cool off in during the full summer heat. The self-standing cottages have fully equipped kitchens (restaurants, shops, and bank are within walking distance), braai areas, and TV (as well as local cable Internet). Since they were built across the road from the beach more than 100 years ago in the old wood-and-iron mode, the houses have their own individual style and history. Meals can be arranged on request.
