Fodor's Expert Review Bistro Vine

On one of the best-known streets for restaurants in the country and with only a dozen or so tables, this small and intimate restaurant on Parkhurst's famous 4th Avenue can be crowded, but the food is good and the service is excellent. Try the moules frites, fresh Saldhana bay mussels simmered in their own stock, dry white wine, lemon, cream, leeks, celery, and herbs, and served with deliciously crunchy fries and homemade mayonnaise. Order one of many excellent South African white wines on the menu.
