Fodor's Expert Review Café Anton

$ Swakopmund Café

This is a good place to take a break after perusing the curio market around the lighthouse. Sit on the palm-shaded terrace overlooking the lighthouse and the sea and watch the world go by while you eat a breakfast of scrumptious home-baked cake or pastry, or enjoy a late afternoon tea with hazelnut triangles, custard filled danishes, or croissants. The chocolate-drenched Florentiner cookies are divine, and the Black Forest cake is made exactly as it is in Germany and the apple strudel is legendary. A small selection of light lunch options like toasted sandwiches and soups is served until 2 pm.
