Planning Your Time

Most flights to this region land in Casablanca, so it’s probably most logical to start there. After spending a few days exploring this economic heart of Morocco, you’ll probably be in search of some peace, so head north towards Rabat, stopping at Mohammedia for an afternoon. While in Rabat, spend a few days admiring the magnificent architecture, elegant restaurants, and lively medina. For even more peace, skip farther north to Moulay Bousselham, a bird-lover’s haven. To explore the southern parts of the area, stop by Azemmour and El Jadida on your way to Oualidia. To complete this tour fully, you’d need a good two weeks, but many people prefer to focus on just the two cities—with brief day trips to some surrounding beach towns.
