Fodor's Expert Review Acacia Camp Nairobi

Magadi Rd, Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya

Acacia Camp was set up for overland truck groups and self-drive safari desperados in Land Rovers, but it offers a range of accommodation for backpackers, from dorms with shared showers to simple en-suite rooms. The camp is well situated for jaunts around western Nairobi (where most sights are) or for trips into the wonderful Nairobi National Park. In fact it is within earshot of the local lions and it's a pleasantly green space in the big city that is often visited by monkeys. It's just a few minutes drive from Galleria Mall and their very helpful staff, make this camp a great base in the city.
