Why We Like It

Refined and quiet luxury bring this hotel up to an international standard, which makes it a comfortable and familiar option for many guests.

Fodor's Expert Review

Israel's only installment of the storied international Ritz Carlton brand offers sweeping marina and sea views, a stellar Kosher restaurant and quiet, refined service, but for those who frequent Ritz hotels around the globe, it may not quite live up to their standards.

Room

With contemporary decor influenced by the sea that sits within arms reach, the rooms are modern and comfortable. Sumptuous linens and plenty of cabinet space up the luxury level. All rooms offer either a marina or sea view and some offer both.

Bathroom

Marble touches and Asprey toiletries make for a luxurious powder room, as do separate tubs and glass-enclosed showers.

Lobby

The small lobby is tucked down a hallway after navigating an elevator from the street, and its plain decor and limited check in counters mean sometimes there's a long wait to check in.

You Should Know This particular Ritz Carlton is located directly next to an older Herzliya mall, in the same building, and its adjacent entrance can make entering the hotel and finding the lobby a confusing task. Once you come up on the elevator, turn right and make your way down the unmarked hallway to find the check in desks.

Pool

The rooftop pool offers seating for both sun and shade, and an on-site bar serves snacks and drinks.

You Should Know The pool offers beautiful views but it's on the small side and there's no separate kiddie swim area, so be prepared, at peak hours, for crowded waters and lots of splashing.

Spa

All the bells and whistles are available at the Ritz's superior spa, where the menu features such delights at Dead Sea body treatments and Cabernet grape scrubs, as well as 4-hands massages and shiatsu treatments.

Gym

The fitness center is a cheery yellow, offers top of the line equipment and also occasional group yoga classes.

Dining

The jewel in the Ritz Carlton Herzliya's crown is its on-site Herbert Samuel restaurant, which is arguably the best Kosher eatery in Israel. With fresh, refined food that explodes with flavor and color, eating here is a delight.

Tip Wine lovers should ask their server to help them pair their meal with the ideal blends; all Herbert Samuel staff is trained and knowledgable in the best of Israeli wines.

Drinking

The Blends Lounge and Rooftop Bar both offer cocktails and small bites.

If you must drag yourself away from the excellent Herbert Samuel, there's excellent fresh fish to be had at Derby Bar (4-minute walk) and creative, whimsical fare awaiting at SegevArt (5-minute drive).

Bars

Tapeo (5-minute drive) serves innovative tapas alongside its cocktails; Inga Bar (6-minute drive) is a great choice for happy hour.
