Fodor's Expert Review Olga's Kitchen and Bar
Olga was the last headmistress at the school that occupied the 200-year-old space now housing this restaurant. A former student, Samer Milad, opened his restaurant, and with a wink to its origins, created a printed menu to look like a child’s school notebook, carrying the theme throughout the elegant dining rooms. But the food is no child’s play. Sophisticated fusion meals like beef fillet with caramel sauce, Japanese salad, stuffed mushrooms with goose liver, and lamb rib meat in phyllo do not fail to impress. Ask for a table with a view of the working kitchen or sit outside on the veranda, next to a fragrant herb garden. The bar upstairs turns into a nice place to people-watch in the evenings.
