How do I log in using Facebook or Twitter?

If you’re a new user, welcome! Click the “Register” button on the top right of your screen. We’ll pre-populate all the information we have on file from Facebook or Twitter, but feel free to edit any of the fields. Hit submit and, voilà, you’ll become our newest Fodorite.

If you’re already a Fodor’s member, you can link your existing profile to your Facebook or Twitter accounts by clicking “Account Settings” on your profile page. Go to “Edit Connections” to add your social networks.

Next time you log in, just click the “Login” link, then the icon for the social network you used to register.

How do I disconnect my Facebook or Twitter account from my Fodor’s account?

Log in and click on your Member Name at the top of the page to access your profile. On your profile page, click “Account Settings” and “Edit Connections.” Click the “Edit” button to disconnect from your social networks.

I’m a member, but I can’t sign in.

If you’re a brand new member, you might not have activated your account. Click the link included in your confirmation email before attempting to log in. If you did not receive this email, please write to us at [email protected].

If you’ve already activated your account and are having trouble signing in, you might be entering an incorrect Member Name or password. Keep in mind that you can sign in with your email address as your Member Name and that passwords are case sensitive. If you can’t remember your password, click “Forgot my password.” After you provide the answer to your security question, we will send you a new automated password in an email. After signing in with that password, click on your Member Name at the top of the page. On your profile page, click “Account Settings” to change your password.

I joined Fodors.com but never received a confirmation email.

After joining Fodors.com, you should receive a confirmation email from us within 20 minutes containing an activation link that you must click before you can start participating. You might find this email in your spam folder. If you cannot find the email, write to [email protected], and we will gladly activate your account for you.

I registered but can’t remember my Member Name, password, or the answer to my security question.

Please email us at [email protected], and we’ll help you out.

I requested a new password but never received it/it went to an old email address.

Please email us at [email protected]. We’ll send you the new password and help you update your account settings.

I received an activation link, but when I click on it nothing happened.

The activation link can be clicked only once. If after clicking it you are not redirected to Fodors.com to sign in, you can sign in by going to www.fodors.com/login/.

I entered the password you sent me, but it doesn’t work.

We suggest copying and pasting the password into the sign-in field. Be sure that your computer’s cookies are not automatically entering your old password. If the new password is still not working, shoot us an email at [email protected], and we’ll send you another one.

Is it possible to have two or more screen names registered with one email address?

Why has my account been suspended?

If you receive a notice that your account has been suspended when you sign in, you have probably posted some form of advertising or something offensive on the site. Suspensions vary in length, depending on the nature of the offense. If you have a question regarding the status of your account, please email us at [email protected]. How do I update my account settings, including my email address?

After signing in, go to your profile by clicking on your Member Name at the top of the page. On your profile page, click “Account Settings.”
