Julius Shulman: Visionary Photographer Gets a Showcase

Edris%20House.jpg This winter and spring, the Palm Springs Art Museum is proud to present Julius Shulman/Palm Springs, a fascinating look at the revolutionary work of photographer Julius Shulman, whose work captured the spirit of the architectural movement in the Palm Springs area in the middle half of the last century. The exhibition consists of 150 photographs that include locations by renowned architects Richard Neutra, A. Quincy Jones, John Lautner, Albert Frey, William Cody, Donald Wexler, and Palmer & Krisel, among others. The show includes photographs never seen before in a public exhibition. Rizzoli has published a companion book to the exhibition, co-authored by Curator Michael Stern and Alan Hess. The show runs February 15 through May 4, 2008 at the Palm Springs Art Museum, 101 Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA.
