Where do you go to rock and sleep in San Diego? Soon it will be the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, opening in October in the city’s Gaslamp Quarter. The ultra-sleek, upscale hotel offers 420 luxury rooms and suites, including 17 Rock Star Suites, with one designed by members of the Black Eyed Peas band. All rooms feature “floating” cantilevered furniture, state-of-the-art lighting, home theater entertainment centers with LCD TVs, CD/DVD and iPOD connections, a martini bar, and WiFi Internet access, among other things. In addition to the chain’s signature rock ‘n’ roll bars, the hotel will also house the nouveau Japanese restaurant Nobu, and a Sky Bar by nightlife wizard Rande Gerber.
