Fairmont Opens First Hotel in Eastern Europe


The luxury Fairmont Hotels group has made its first foray into Eastern Europe with the opening of the Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv in Kyiv (Kiev), Ukraine. To celebrate, the upscale property is promoting an "Opening Offer" package for its newest guests through August 31, 2012, which includes a two-night stay for the price of one. Rates start from $422, based on double occupancy.

The Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv features 258 guest rooms, including suites and lavish Royal and Presidential units overlooking Podil Square and the Dnipro River. Guests can also absorb the great views from the Grand Cru Champagne Bar, or take a turn through the Vintage Cocktail Bar for drinks, cigars, and shisha (hookah). After a day spent exploring Kyiv, guests can refresh themselves at the Strand Grill, which offers savory steak and seafood fare, or seek out the Atrium Lounge and Pâtisserie for drinks and light bites. Other upscale amenities include meeting rooms and a ballroom, spa, fitness center, and access to tennis and golf facilities.
