Look into renting a phone for trips abroad

If you travel abroad infrequently and/or expect to make a lot of calls, a rental may be cheaper. If you anticipate limited usage, your own phone may be the least expensive option. Weigh the rental fees and service against your home service provider’s roaming rates to determine the best deal. If you travel abroad frequently, you may want to buy, however; figure that the cost of a phone that works internationally is equal to the cost of three or four rentals.
