Vacation packages to Anguilla - come out come out whereever you are!
During all my prior trips to the Carribean I've booked vacation packages through the airlines. However, USAir, Delta and AA dont offer packages for the Anguilla hotels I'm interested in (Shoal Bay Villas or Frangipani).
I also tried Expedia, Travelocity and cheapcarribean.com. Any additonal suggestions for packages including airfare and either of these 2 hotels?

Sometimes Liberty Travel shows packages with the less expensive hotels, although I haven't found the pricing to be all that great. Their website still isn't the best but it's better than it used to be.

Try GWV Travel for a package. We used GWV for our Anguilla trip and it worked out beautifully. We didn't stay at Frang, but just next door at the Carimar Beach Club, which we loved. I think the web address is www.gwvtravel.com Good luck in your search and have a fantastic trip!

Another package website is www.tntvacations.com I just looked at it for a potential trip to Nevis.

Have been to Frangipani 14 times and going again in 11 days. To the best of my knowledge they don't participate in any packages that include air fare. I tend to book myself and search for discount airfares via St Martin or San Juan. American is the only carrier flying from San Juan to Anguilla so you pay the going rate. Normally cheaper going via St Martin and taking the ferry but is less direct. Frangipani does have a 1-800 number. In the off season their Sun, Sea and Sand package is a good deal.

Hmmmm. Whenever I check a la carte booking of air and hotels vs. packages I almost always find that packages are NOT a deal. On the other hand, many of the nicer hotels don't participate in package plans.
What kind of prices are you finding with a la carte bookings?

There is an 11:45AM from San Juan that arrives at 12:49 PM on American Airlines. From New York the cheapest way to go is probably to St Martin/Marteen and take the ferry from Marigot or take the 15 min flight on Winair (about $140 round trip but faster)

Well the problem is I just learned we'll have to fly from Raleigh Durham, and all flights from there take all day or make multiple stops (RDU to Boston to San Juan to Anguilla) so yes, looks like we'll have to do airfare to St. Martin separately, no packages, and take ferry to Anguilla.
You know the more I think about it the more I think we should just stay at St. Martin again and do day trips to Anguilla (small enuf to see in a day I'd think), Saba and St. Barths.

Hi Beannine, we are travelling to Anguilla with American Airlines, departing JFK at 3:45pm, via San Juan, arriving Anguilla 11pm if that helps at all. Paying 700 US$ each return but we are travelling over Christmas week and booked only yesterday!
