Avignon to Paris train ticket question
I'm just about to buy a couple of tickets online. Can anyone tell me why a Prem ticket is more expensive than a Discovery Senior ticket (64 euros compared to 86.60 euros)?
I asked for 1st class on the on-line form. Is Prem 1st class?
Thanks

No, I don't think PREM's are ever first class.
You'd have to ask SNCF why a PREM is more expensive. My guess is they're offering deeper discounts to seniors on that route on that day than to the general public.

PREM'S can be either 1st or 2nd class, but are you sure you didn't misread the fare categories? I've never seen a PREM'S for as high a price as you are reporting. What date and time are you trying to book?

I just booked them and they seem to be 1st class. I think we're going at a 'high price' day and time -- a Friday at mid-day. I didn't see anything cheaper. Anyway, I'm just glad to have this part done with.
Now...on to renting the car!
