Sandi - you really caught the essence of Rome. I always forget to take shots of what really matters - like the gelato case or a classic street scene. Beautiful! And Parma looks really nice.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures! I was sad when they came to an end.

Lovely photos, sandi. Thanks for sharing with us!

I loved the sunset views. So beautiful with the twinkling lights.

Interesting about the rather drab exterior of the Sistine Chapel.

Sandi, my plane leaves for Rome three weeks from TODAY--yippee! I was there once, 20 years ago.

Your photo collection is stunning and has really whetted my appetite for getting there. I will share this with my husband too.

Many thanks. kk in TX

Thanks kk. I'm in Dallas by the way. My trip report outlines several nice long walks from which many of the images were taken. Highly recommend climbing to the "cupola", the dome of St. Peter's. 300+ steps, about as difficult as the Arch in Paris or the duomo in Florence.

Wonderful photos! What camera do you have? We leave in three weeks too so it was great to see your wintery photos.

(I'm in Rockwall so we're neighbors )

Some of the images came from a Nikon Cool Pix 990, some came from a Sony digital handycam.

For the most part it was in the 50's and 60's degrees with lots of sun. Until we got to Zurich.

Loved your photos. Also your trip report; I don't recall if I thanked you for it, as I've been following yours, ekscrunchy's and rosetravels' concurrently.

I miss Rome! Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Thank you sandi, your photos are gorgeous! And now I am more "homesick" for Italy than ever, sigh.

You two are a darling couple..I am so glad you had such a wonderful trip. Wishing you many more.

You certainly have to let things roll of your back when you travel, that's for sure. You encounter too many things that could potentially ruin your mood and entire trip. We can't get enough of Italy and hope to return soon. I think the next couple of trips will be to L.A. to visit my newborn neice and to NYC to visit EK! (don't worry EK, we'll give you fair warning)
