Monday - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
8 AM - 6:30 PM
Thursday 8 AM - 1 PM
Saturday - antiques 6 AM - 4 PM
If you go Sat I would suggest getting there early to avoid the crowds. I got there a little after 7 and when I left the crowds were pouring in.

One of the nicest things to do on a Sunday in London is to go to Covent Garden. There are musicians there, who play wonderful classical music and sing arias from operas. I think they might be music students, and they give these Sunday performances, and send around a hat for donations. It's really well worth while to go for a listen.

I try to avoid the major sites (Tower, British Museum, V&A, Nat'l Gallery, etc.) on Sundays because they are most crowded then.
Spencer House is a good choice. You can also walk the full length of Hyde Park along Bayswater Rd for a mile-long open air art fair. Every sort of medium/technique, quality and price. If you walk west to east you can end up at Speakers Corner. And if you walk east to west you can finish up w/ afternoon tea at the Orangery at Kensington Palace.
Another TERRIFIC thing to do on Sunday mornings is a coffee/sherry concert at Wigmore Hall. Usually a string quartet, piano trio or similar. Only £10 and you get coffee or sherry and ca go into the Green Room to chat with the artists.
