Dinner in the sky? Fodor's Convention 2007 perhaps?

"So you've been invited to dinner, and when you get there, you're led to a dining table elegantly set for 22. The host asks you to step into your seat and begins strapping you in like a race car driver. You look around and realize that this dining table with a beautiful clear canopy over it has wires attached to it that's attached to a giant crane parked nearby. Your heart races and you wonder what the heck is going on?!!"

I lost my appetite for lunch just looking at the photo.

I would have the biggest panic attack in the world. Great concept but not for me.
2007 GTG sounds great though!!!

jorr, you type in the <color> you want the following words to be.

for red <you type in the word red> like this.

for blue <you type in the word blue> like this.

There are a couple of threads explaining it more - one was active on the Europe board earlier today

I saw this posted on another board. I said the same thing about dropping the fork. I can't even imagine but I'll bet they are booked months ahead.

LOL Jagirl!

You probably wouldn't want to drink too much up there either - in case you get a little wobbly and fall out of your chair.

And obviously, no sending your food back either!

Here's how it all works...

My palms are all sweaty looking at the table.

How are the waiters walking around?

I presume they supply a role of toilet paper for each guest.

One advantage - if you don't like the food and don't want to be rude by not eating it, you could very casually sneak it off your plate a little bit at a time and send it on a flying vacation!
