Zipline
Has anyone done the zipline in Maui. How long does it take and is it fun or just plain scarey? Thanks
|
we wanted to do it in november, but it was booked for ten days straight. if you want to do it- book now and ask questions later! ;)

We did the zipline in Oct. 2005. It was a ton of fun! let someone else go first on the first zip, and you won't be scared anymore. There were 60-year-old women in our group, and they did it!

OMG!!!!
60 year old women!!! And they SURVIVED!?!?!? :-D |
I went ziplining here in Michigan last fall and had a blast - I didn't think it was scary at all. I don't know how much scarier it might be in Maui, but the one I did was fairly long and pretty high up, and I loved every minute of it!
That is what inspired me to book the ziplining adventure on Maui. We will be there in April, and I got on-line last night to book it. I checked for all of the days we will be there, and could not get the time I wanted on any of the days. I did end getting a time, but it was pretty much my last choice. So if you decide to book, make sure you do it early! I heard that advice before, but didn't think I would run into trouble 7 weeks before the trip. |
emmaandamber,
where in Michigan did you zipline? Was it a treetop eco-type tour or just a few lines at amusement park type place? |
We did it in Costa Rica. It was a blast! Go for it.

I did it a camp I was at with my class (I'm a teacher). Nothing close to what it would be like in Maui, but it was still in a nice woodsy area. We were about 50 feet in the air and traveled about 100 yards over a creek. I thought it was so much fun, and this is from a person that truly freaked out on the high ropes course, only 20 feet in the air. As soon as I got off the zipline, I knew I was going to book the trip in Maui!
